I think he was being sarcastic!
Yup, we all know the reasons some African countries imposed the .375 limit.

I'm more concerned about loseing a buffalo than loseing to a buffalo. So far, winning on both scores.
Elephants awe me.
Yea I hear ya, the two American hunters just leaving Zambia when I arrived both lost bulls with a 458 Lott, they were not a content pair of boys. One was quite upset that the other had talked him into using Hornady bullets and was blaming his loss on bullet failure, the other fellow took a straight on frontal chest shot when he was told not to by the PH. They had been looking for those bulls for 5 days to no avail. Let me tell you they were a couple of wore out hunters, and the daily temps topping over 50 didn't help you can bet.
Elephants are probably THE most awe inspiring animal in the world, I must agree. Something about 6 tons standing 12-13 ft high with the personality of Mr.T, the intelligence of Einstein and the agility Mohammad Ali (in his prime), what's not to be in awe of.
Elephant are exceptionally aggressive, and are becoming more so every year. They are the true king of the bush and they fully know it, nothing messes with the elephants except the odd dumb sportsman from afar. To my thinking and in my experience the elephant is the most outwardly dangerous animal on the planet. They will come and pick a fight with you, where the buff will not as a rule.
One word...Valhalla.
I'd rather die painfully while living than a lingering death in bed.
It's always good to hear from a fellow heathen. A quote some may like.
The Hunters
"When one of them is born, their god says ' Go in peace.'
When one of us is born our Gods say "Go hunting."
