Soooo, What's the status on 404 scope mounts and or rings availability for this fine rifle? I searched but came up empty.

It uses the Sauer sum technology mount. Shooting warehouse has rusan-mikron Sauer 404/303 mounts available in different ring sizes. Not cheap though $480 and takes 2-3 weeks to get them.

WildHog is correct. The top of the receiver of the SAUER 404 is made for the original SAUER Universal Mounting (SUM). Currently we do not have any in stock, but can order one in for you.
