I am 12(6) I had a .25 & a .32 as well as a few with too short of a barrel.
Does that mean I have to keep one of each, ie- .25 and an hg with a barrel less than 4”
Or just retain one of either or?

As both .25/.32 cal and less then 4" make up the classification 12(6), you are good with one or the other. Just my opinion, call your CFO asap before you get rid of anything.

You just need one 12(6) Gun, regardless of caliber or barrel length, to keep the designation.

I've got 25's and 32's with teenie barrels, and I don't think the smelter would even be interested in them.

My old nickle plated rossi revolver is keeping my 12(6) for me, for now. I will be looking for a 4 inch s&w 17 or 617 to go with it.

The guys are right, but I would keep one of each just to be on the safe side.

You never know what other stupid regulations that the government, especially this one, could bring in.

Just one! And Pre-46 made can be transferred to a Blood Relative! They would get a 12.7. Anyone with Restricted, without 12.6, now can inherit Prohib's manufactured prior to 1946 (not sure why date? Keep from passing them on I guess), from a blood relative! Don't have actual list of relations, but CFO will confirm if allowed.

The 12.7 class was to allow people to pass down family heirlooms such as war relics....hence the pre 1946 rule.

Don't be tricked by those that want to confuse the issue & create new classifications. Kanadians are under the UNCONSTITUIONAL dual system of resticted & prohibited class firearm owners. Every other issue of this duality would be illegal on every level.
