From what I understand, hollow point handgun rounds are illegal to import, but legal to possess.

Is that true?

I heard that way back they used to be illegal to import, but no longer, bring in as many as you want as long as you get all the paperwork.

Even when you couldn't import hollow-point handgun ammo, I've heard you could just put a sticker on the box saying "For Rifle Use Only," and act like you were shooting them in a pistol calibre rifle. Once they came in, you could use them however you want.

Anyone remember that shotgun round in the States called Dragon Breath or something of that nature?

It fits the bill for a legal round.

...whats are the g forces on a 1 ounce load accellerating to 1400 feet per second to the muzzle of a 26 inch barrel?

Assuming a uniform acceleration over the full barrel length then there would be approximately 14058 g. A bit high but I am sure you can create a small enough sensor to fit in a 22 calibre projectile. Just use a few common household items and tools and presto!

Please post your results! :p

It is basically Lycopodium powder and throws a huge fireball out the end of the barrel. There are others that use powerdered titanium and it is ment to set fires to things.
Both are pyrotechnic for show in nature and are not (projectiles).

You can get barescares that are 12ga.. that is an exploding projectile and it is totally legal
