No need to convince. Have the verifier call into the CFC with the model, make, and serial #, and ipso facto; the firearm is reclassified by the CFC, and they will issue a new registration card, complete with updated status.

you need to close the action up and then run " the pointy end " of your caliper down the barrel till it hits the bolt face .
you are measuring the depth of the end of the barrel to the bolt face .
if you are that close i would either use a couple different calipers ..... or even a tape measure

You take a meatal rod, close the breach of the hand gun, stick the meatl rod down the barreel, , the metal rod touches the face of the bolt/breach face, you make off the rod area where it lines up with the end of the barrel, than you messure the distance from the mark to the end of the rod which was touchung the face of the bolt/breach face etc, and thats your distance measurement.

This short barrel, small caliber handgun prohib needs to be fixed. . . "Prohibited by a Hair" was a real slimey trick by Allan Rock and those liberals . . . . .
I never could get my head around a "prohibited" firearm....but then again I'm not that smart you know like a lawyer or a Politician My way of thinking if someone breaks the law with a single shot cooey....lock 'em up! but don't punish the rest of us that aren't "tarded" by putting laws into place that make it Illegal to own a 4"barrel...but 4.25" that's alright..... Their concern is if they do change the status of my handgun, is that they would have to change the status of all the other guns of the same make and model and barrel length. They state that there are only six of these in Canada so I really don't see a problem. I will post more when I find out.
Can some one riddle me this.
Why is it an auto loader gets to be measured from the bolt face but a revolver gets measures from the forcing cone and not the back of the cylinder/reciever face? Seems to me an awful lot of revolvers got prohibited when they should be just fine.

Even if it only came out 105mm it is till considered a Prohib. If it was 105.1 mm then it is restricted. Too bad it didn't have a new barrel with a slight extension or have it relined with a slightly longer tube.
I never asked the technicians at the CFC if a firearm has a rebated or tapered crown, "do you measure the barrel from the end of the rifling or the end of the metal tube". This would only apply to a situation where one milimeter would decide if a gun is a prohib or restricted.

Well three months have passed and still no word from the CFC. They sure are dragging their feet on this.
It might as well be in their job description. Sometimes I'm surprised they answer the phone. Sorry to hear this isn't rectified, hope you get your property back soon.
