i remember hearing at one point that on the list of guns prohibited by name they included one that didnt exist, it was a prototype or concept on the cover of a magazine or somthing?
anyone know if its true and what its called?

well it does exist

they made several for testing they are out there I went with the 40 watt plasma rifle looks like that paid of its NOT listed as prohib

I got to handle one while at the MOD Pattern Room in Nottingham (sadly no longer there) so I know at least one was built. Didn't get to fire it but the concept was interesting.

How about that ghost gun that the California governor was talking about. Remember the one that shoots 30 caliber magazine clips in 30 seconds. Lol

HK G11 caseless

At least 2000 production G11's were made, in addition to many prototypes over the 20 year development period. Very hard to argue that they didn't exist.

That being said, it is my understanding that some units used them for a few years, then they were all handed back to HK and destroyed. My source tells me that the only ones still known to exist are those that were supplied to NATO for compatibility testing. And that they happen to be stored in Canada.

Either way, good luck finding ammo, a gun isn't even as good as a baseball bat if it doesn't shoot... And I don't think I'll be able to load up any on my ol' RCBS either.

The G11 was tested by the German military but never saw civilian use, or even came close. It was one of a few guns that made it on the list that never really existed, at least in the sense they had never made it passed the prototype phase. Get a few of the old Gun Digests and Assault Weapons books from the mid to late 80s and you can make up the same list, which is what Canada and California did.
