Prohibited firearms

Hello all. I have a quick question regarding prohibited firearms. I know its basically impossible to get it unless you are grandfathered the firearms but I am wondering if it is legal for a person who does not own a prohibited firearms license to handle or shoot them. I have not been able to find a solid answer anywhere online.

Only a 12(6) or 12(7)(?) the pre-1946 category, at an approved range. Same protocol as a restricted otherwise.

You must be under the direct supervision of someone that holds the class licence (if you are not) of the said firearm when shooting restricted or prohibited. Within arms reach I believe.
