I finally am getting a chance to post my baby that I have been working on. I have purchased a Lilja Match 22LR barrel from Alberta Tactical sometime ago. It’s 21” long and .920 and heavy.
When I first installed and bedded in my Boyd’s Tacticool stock it was moving in the receiver because of the forward barrel weight.
Went on Rimfire Central and found some tips on pinning the receiver through the stock. So I decided to make my own 1/4” pin and make it so it has the Mini-14 or M14 look. It also is drilled so that I can use a trigger lock key to tighten it.
I used Arca Glas to bed the action and also put a large aluminum pillar in the wood where the bedding screw is.

I also radiused my bolt and made my own custom charging handle. The trigger has volquartsen parts in it and breaks nice at 2.5lbs

I purchased a Dlask Arms receiver and Tactical Innovations 15moa mount to stretch out to 200yds
I topped it with a Bushnell 5+15x40AO Tactical Scope. So far it shoots about 4” at 200yds with Winchester Dynapoints. I need to purchase some better ammo and start off at 50 to see what it likes and move out from there. All in all it was fun building.

I shot pretty decent groups at 50yds with it using RWS Match but not very good at 200yds so I’m hoping someone can tell me what ammo they use with good results out to this distance and beyond.

That’s excellent. What rifle are you using. I like to shoot at chunks of mud just over the target boards and you can see where the bullet hits but with a 4”:group it’s kinda hard to hit a 2” piece of mud. I think I have a pretty good setup but was hoping to get some feedback here on what ammo everyone is using and what might work best in other Ruger 10/22’s like this one.
Has anyone out there pinned there action through the stock like I have done. It definitely is better for me with that longer barrel

I've got a 10/22 with a 16" volquartsen barrel with a match chamber. Can shoot one home groups at 50 yards with ease as long as I do my part. The gun can group under 0.5" at 100 yards. My gun prefers cci green tag, I've never grouped it at 200 but it hits a 6" plate with boring regularity. Have you headspaced your bolt? That will make a huge difference with accuracy.

That's quite incredible. It would seem like you could have one of the few rifles that can do the 1/4" at 50 challenge.

I have to agree with grauhanen here. TGTBT. There are quite a bunch of rimfire guys trying to get into the ¼" at 50M, and most of them have match 22 rifles, shooting match ammo that is specifically selected to shoot well in their rifles. D.
