Project Ar-180B " Enhanced "

Mr.Spectacular I ordered a jp enterprises 9" rail from brownells and its the same plane as the Midwest quad rail when atop the reciever. It's a low profile rail so I had to trim a bit off the tips of the rear mbus to get it to flip up. Just got back from a few hundred rounds with the finished rig and she ran like a champ.

Awesome work! I'll send you a new piston kit for testing when I get them rolling.

I fully intend to build a rifle based on the AR18 platform for Canadian users. You guys have always seen the small steps involved as I upgrade my own AR180B.

It won't be tomorrow but it will happen.
 
To hell with that, shoot in your underwear if it affords you another full mag!
Rifle looks awesome, best looking 180 I've seen.

Armedsask I'm anticipating this piston kit now and you'll know I'll run it hard. Thanks for all the great comments. I know the greasy work shorts....next time I'll wear my Sunday best.

Then radiused the front gas block.Added magpul mbus front and rear. Textured grip and front of magwell then painted the whole rifle with krylon tan camo paint. All magpul furniture is fde. I'm pretty stoked with this rig... Let's see some more 180B projects

Ar-18 as in 308 based action length???

Even an upgraded 180b in 6.8spc in the proper spec(dmr chamber + 1-12 twist 5r rifling) would make a potent black hunting rifle
 
I will say from all the rifles that I own have Owend or friends rifles tha I've shot this takes the prize. I'll admit I'm a die hard ar-180b fan. If your considering one and there's one on the EE for a descent price, grab it. And if you owned one and sold it I know there's a little void in that gun safe that you wish wasnt there. Kac tripple tap is a sweet brake, it has found a nice home on the end of the 180. And don't worry.. I'll have some new pants for the next photo op.. :)
