Project "budget black rifle" complete

I had an Aimpoint on a Larue mount that I would have guessed would not be able to cowitness with my M4 front sight unless I changed the mount. To my surprise when I look through the red dot it lines up perfectly so I don't think I will have an issue. I ordered a flip up back sight with my front rail so I should be good to go. I used to have the Aimpoint on my Roni conversion so I swapped it with my M4 carry handle. Looks great on the Roni. :p So along with the flip up back sight and rail I also have a flip up front sight for the Roni coming in. :D

Hey Pizdets, great setup!

you mind me asking where you picked up the Vortex red dot? Do you know of any stocking dealers here in Alberta or did you need to order it in? I'd love to put an aimpoint 3x behind it yet on one of those LaRue flip mounts, but good luck ever being able to get one of them in.

Nice hardwood and countertop too btw =P

Does the Vortex have regular crosshairs ontop of being the red dot, so the scope would work like a normal 2X with plain old crosshairs without batteries (should the batteries fail)? Do you also happen to know the operating temperature range (ie -30 deg celcius to +40 or whatever)?

Sweet budget setup, has me thinking.

No, the Vortex is just and RDS

As for the operating temp Im not sure although someone stuck the Vortex Sparc RDS in the deep freeze and it still worked.

Please tell me you didn't spay PAM in your rifle...

Seriously tho, I have wanted an AR for years and could never pony up the cash until these new Norcs came out. I know the hardcore AR fellows are squirming everytime they see or hear of a Chinese AR but they are an amazing machine. Much better than even the highly esteemed M305 M14 clones. I absolutely love mine. It is accurate and very reliable. I have not had a single problem yet.

I also wanna look into that Vortex Strikefire. I was wondering if anyone was having luck with them, I may look into one as well.
I bought the YHM free floating handgaurd but have not been able to install it due to the front pins won't budge. This winter I'll gave to get the cutting tools out and do a chop job on it. Too busy shooting it to do that now.

Anyways, grats on your new rifle.
