I got this from Shooting Fiend, NIB Para P12-45. I have heard good and bad things about these so I went to 1911forum and asked. I already have a replacement set of springs including mag springs from Wolff. I have a steel mag release to replace the plastic one that requires way too much force to engage.
I have heard the bushings can break but I forget where to get the after market version. Any help? I will update when I have it all done and go to the range. One thing I will say is the slide/frame fit is beyond tight. I wonder if the stiff 22lb recoil spring has anything to do with that?
Pics for your enjoyment.;)

Replacement of barrel bushing is a must. Factory ones brake frequently, your recoil spring plug flies far away and often cannot be found and you have to buy two parts.

Buy something beefier from EGW, Clark, Willson or STI. All of them are better than Para factory part.

I took this to the range earlier this week and put two boxes through it. Very accurate and not bad recoil at all. The plastic mag release took two thumbs to operate and the barrel busshing was very fragile, so today I picked it up from Jason Spencer with a Clarks bushing fitted,(tight!) and an aftermarket mag release. Also recoil spring and mag springs were all replaced with Wolff springs. I will take it out this weekend but at over $30 a box I'm not planning to shoot it much.
