The mailman came in today to bring me My new B&C light tactical stock, so I tought I would share a few pics off my work in progress, first precision rifle. I think it should to be pretty decent.
Vitals;
Remington VTR .223 action and barrel, 9" twist
Vortex Viper 6.5-20X50 Mildot scope
promag 0 MOA steel rail
rings are some cheap NC Star 30mm with 1" inserts I had bought for my 10-22, they do work fine, at least for now.
Sorry for the crappy pictures but i just got an old beater camera and photography is not in my skillsets...
In the near future I will bed action (thinking about using acraglass gel from brownells but their 4 oz kit is backordered right now, any suggestion on what else would work good?) Get some kind off trigger improvement either an aftermaket trigger or get the factory one worked. Then I will send the bolt to get threaded for a tactical bolt knob I want to make at work.
I really really like the B&C stock, nice grippy finish (OD green with black webbing) the LOP is about 1" longer than stock. The hook in the stock is a realy nice feature and I like it so far, but i just played with it in the basement, I will be able to tell more after a few hours at the range.
Cost was right around 350$ can, including shipping, export licence fee and duty. Got it online from a site I will not name on the public forum but you can PM me for details, they carry the whole B&C line and have no problems shipping to Canada. Delievery took about 6 weeks, but christmas holiday was in the picture as well...
Let me know what you think and suggestion are more than welcome.
