Projectile alignment system

Traditions projectile alignment system on there guns. What is it and does it really make a difference in accuracy ?

It kind looks like in the picture its a cut in the end of the barrel ???

anyone with any info ?

If anyone was wondering I thought ide post it. found out what the system was.

The PAS (Projectile Alignment System) is one of the secrets why our barrels shoot better than our competitors. We bore out only 3/8 in the end of the barrel to allow the projectile to be aligned perfectly with the rifling each time the muzzleloader is loaded. Because we only take out 3/8 of rifling in the barrel, this allows our barrels to shoot consistently better with a variety of powder charges and different projectiles.

Sounds like a cross between a false muzzle and a sales gimmick to me.
Might make loading really tight bullets a bit easier.

Its from Traditions and they clam accurate at 200yrds. might be a sales gimmick but could work.

I wonder has anyone shot this and how do u think it was compared to other muzzle loaders ?
