Promag 10/22 magazine with sleeve

I had some 10/22 magnum ones and after putting 8 rounds in and them pointing up, down and both ways, I smashed it with a hammer to save the 8 shots and never took the other two out of the package. I won't sell them on the EE as I couldn't look at myself in the mirror if I did.

I bought some earlier this year they seemed to work ok the occasional hang up here and there but not too bad. My gun was brand new when I started using them so they broke in together. I had a buddy who's gun was broken in with Butler creeks and he couldn't use my mags nor could I use his without a ton of issues.

The new Gen are pretty good I have 4 of them.

Everyone forgets that you need to tune the mag to the gun. I used some needle nose pliers and bent the feed spring until the bullet lined perfectly to the barrel for feeding. Then put the safety on and did a bunch of cycling tests to make sure.

Early mags were troublesome. I also use a MP5 mag clamp to put 2 together.

I gave my HC3R and BC mags away as they just did not feed properly as they do not have the feed assist spring like the mew Gen Pro Mags. Calgary Shooting Centre has them.

wow you must be the only lucky shooter that gets these to function. I have ver 1,2,3 and they all suck. I tried to bend the wires and even file some plastic. No luck

Ive got three of them, and they work OK. Not perfect all the time, but I can usually go through all three mags and maybe have one or two failures. CCI blazers seem to be the ammo of choice. The bulk packs of cheaper stuff dont seem to work as well, which sucks.

Like everyone else though, I would ditch these mags in a second for a 25 capacity magazine that would work flawlessly every time.

I dont think CT sells the Gen 3. Because I haven't seen the 2 injection mold marks on the top of the mag. I wanted to give one a shot.

I just bought 4 of the aa922 marauder mags.... they jam EVERY shot. I had more bullets on the ground than downrange after my first outing.

I'm going to try to make them work in my 10/22, but it's pretty discouraging tobpay $160 for mags including shipping and have them unusable.

I am looking to buy one of these even if it works like crap just to complete the look of my sr22 build. Hical is out of stock on their website. Where else can a guy get these? Allied arms seems very expensive compared to hical

I just bought a new 10/22 and I got one of those already (Nomad stock on it's way from Wanstall's). I'll go to the range later tonight to try both the rifle and the mag.

-Update:
I ran a couple mags through the rifle, 10 shot Ruger mag was 100%. From the promag I got about 7 stovepipes out of 100 rounds, I suspect the spring being a bit too stiff, I will see if it gets better as I am breaking it in.
