Promag 303 British doorstops

I dunno anyone that has 1 Lee and dozen magazines

I have three mags for my Lee. :)

To be fair the rifle came with its factory original serialized mag and I bought a second minty mag from the guy who sold me the rifle. Then someone gave me an old, corroded mag, which I cleaned up and painted.

There are a lot of surplus magazine's around
Century Arms sold thousands of surplus Enfield magazines
Some number 3's were converted for use in no4's

Same same, my dads came to me with 3-4 mags and I’ve been given a couple by friends. No.1 and No.4 mags, I find they all fit and feed well which is a bonus.

well I know I have more enfields then I have mags for enfields

many of the magless rifles came from crappy auctions where the mags were removed and sold separately to try to make more money

at the time I would pay $40 for the rifle but not going to pay $40 for a mag

I have picked up the odd mag here and there so I have a small bin of mags that I use when I want to shoot one of the rifles.

I have a couple of extra mags that I plan to keep in case a rifle shows up without a mag. Going price around here is $60. I see one of the site sponsors has promags up for $60. Easy choice for me, buy originals that I know work or are an easy fix to make work.

I have a 308 version that works quite well in a No4 it was meant for a No1 308 version but worked right out of the box for a No4. Not much luck with a 303 version either it's like the lips are in the wrong place. As I find more L42 mags I use the 308 version more As a spare though but have no complaints about those ones though.

I just installed one of those in a No4 308 conversion. The first mag I tried had to have the lug on the rear rib shortened by 3/32 inch for the mag release lever to hold it securely.

Just to satisfy my own curiousity, I exchanged he No4 mag release lever with a No1 mag release lever and the other mag did the same as yours did.

Both of them feed flawlessly.

I did put the No4 mag release back onto the rifle as it also has an original No1 mag that was converted for rimless rounds by fitting a single stack insert and filing the back rib.
