Promag AA922 from Exile Machine, Good or bad idea

This is how they look, the sleeve is removable.

Ahhh, so I buy a 223 mag remove the sleeve and have my 9mm fake?

I have read of people having problems with these mags. Is that the norm?
 
Yes just remove the sleeve, Most of the issues are from 10/22s with different tolerences, made over the years. The newer ones seem to work the best, but sometimes you still need to fit them to the gun or wear them in .
 
I wouldn't recommend buying the AA922 mags period. They run very unreliably, even after modification Im still lucky if I dont get a failure to feed. I've tried replacing for another set of feed lips even and even that doesn't help.

If you are going to get these mags though, grab some up from hical. Had no problems with dealing with him through my frustrations with the mag.

Oh and BC 25s and ruger factory 10 rd mags run through it flawlessly.
