So unlike others I have had good luck with Promags AA922 mags in my 10/22. I like the stick look and they function well in my Ruger, as well as you can disassemble them for cleaning. The only thing they were missing is a window to see your round count, because honestly I'm too lazy to count. After a quick inspection I noticed you can take off some of the side material of the mag without hampering its ability to feed so I used one of my old first gen mags to experiment on and here is the result.

Yes they feed just as well after the modification, I used a drill press, a dremel and some sandpaper. Here is some measurements in case your wondering.

1 First gen AA922 mag was harmed in the making of this project.

The feed lips come off, the bottom plate, spring and follower come right out. Gotta be weary on these some ppl have had bad luck with them, they seem to work best in newer model 10/22's.

I have 2 of these mags. I also miss seeing how many rounds are left. After filing down a chunk of plastic on the ramp they seem to feed much better than when i got them but still, one feeds much better than the other and neither feed as well as my BT Steel lips.
