promag auto bolt release for 10/22 issues

i recently placed and order for some 10/22 parts from hical.ca (very fast shipping i might add)

and among the parts i ordered was the promag extended bolt hold open, with auto release, installed it with ease, but the auto bolt release function isnt working for me what so ever, and i cant seem to figure out as to why.

was wondering if anyone had some thoughts or could help out?

Check to see if it is hitting the mag release and not dropping down all the way. I had trouble with that happening with a extended release I was using and had to file some off the front of the bolt release where I was contacting the mag release.
 
Okay thanks I'll give that a try, I am also having a issue with the promag aa92 mag I purchased, it will not lock in place, I can push it forward and pull it out with out hitting the mag release. But my butler creek mag holds in just fine.
 
The mags are often a tight fit - you may have to really shove it in there and rock it fore and aft to get it to latch, the first few times you use it. After a few cycles like this, it should latch in just fine. These mags do NOT rattle in the gun!

I have the same issue with the OP. I have the Archangel 556 kit with the extended mag release and it is interfering with the Promag auto bolt release. How much of the bolt release did you have to file down? Mine has sort of spiky bits in front where it contacts the mag release. I was thinking of filing all of it down until it is smooth and resembles the original ruger bolt release.

me too, except i trimmed down the mag release instead of the bolt release. Actually it was a promag extended release.
