Promag Marauder sling

Hi all. Just wondering - on the Promag Marauder 10/22 stock setup (ie the copy of the G36), where is the best place to mount a single point sling? On most G36 pics I have seen, the single mount sling appears to be mounted at the hinge point for the folding stock, but I cannot see a way to do that with mine.
Any suggestions on mounting and specific slings?

Does yours have the QD points? I'll have to double-check but I think mine has 3: front of the handguard, just ahead of the hinge and back of the stock. So a single-point would go into the QD ahead of the hinge on mine...
 
QD one point sling swivel on mine worked great...

I definitely recommend the QD rings, too.

They were crazy expensive for what they are (think I paid around $10 each + shipping for them, and that was from Amazon!)!

But, they sure work great. It's nice to just push the button, and the sling is free. Same for reattachment. Pretty much instant.
 
I also have the same stock and was wondering what the best sling/ swivel set up would be. Is there a specific size that fits the hole?I only recently purchased the stock and am still in the process of trying to decide what to add in the way of sling/scope/pistol grip etc. Wish there was a one stop place where the choices were easy. Thats the problem ...too many options I guess. Anyone have some ideas on how to narrow the choices.I'm sure it all comes down to what works for some may not work for others. I just now have a few bucks to spend on it since getting the stock but I am not looking to go overboard.
 
QD swivel rings are made to a standard size. The couple of brands I've tried fit my Marauder perfectly. If you haven't seen them, they have kind of a plunger with a couple of small bearings (like those key chains that you can separate into two parts). I really like 'em..
 
Yep, those are the ones, alright. Like I said, stupidly expensive for what they are, but I haven't found them really cheap anywhere (at least, nowhere that has 'em in stock).
 
Good price...but look at the shipping charge!:eek: Who the heck are they kidding? One of those will fit in a small envelope, and ship for maybe $2. It bugs me when they do that - $28.84USD for "shipping". What are the bets it would arrive showing $2-$3 shipping on the package?

*Rant over*:D

Take a look at Amazon.ca - they have UTG ones for around $10 each. If you buy over $25 worth of stuff total, shipping is free. Maybe get the sling at the same time?
