Hi all.. I have a 10/22 with promag marauder stock and I'm looking for suggestions on what sling to put on it for general carry such as target shooting and plinking. I just recently put a BSA red dot scope on it but other than that not much else. Looking to dress it up a little with some accessories just for fun and would appreciate any suggestions such as forward grip/bipod/sling etc.some pictures with info on price and best place to purchase would be great as well as pros and cons. Thanks.

Might as well throw this pic up here too... Magpul Angled fore grip set as far back as possible. Cheap Bi-Pod I got on ebay for like $20. Its good enough for now. Tasco 3-9X40 scope with high mount rings... love this setup, it doesnt need any extras to work great. I did put on a Dlask oversized charging handle but thats not necessary. i just wanted to upgrade SOMETHING else and couldnt think of anything else really.

I use a single point sling... I got it at wallmart for like $25. It has a clip on one end and the central meeting point of the loop has 2 buckles so you can quickly release it. It works fine but keep in mind youll need some way to attach it. The Nomak kit has quick release holes... but since its plastic I dont know that id trust it. You could easily just loop something around the stock.

The QR sling mounts would have to mount to a rail would it not, as opposed to the hole that are currently in the stock? So what about a QR that would fit in the holes. Are they available? Also what type of sling would anyone suggest. Seems to be an awful lot available on the net which makes it hard to make an uninformed choice.

Also where would I be able to get a g36 to M4 stock adapter that I have read about on this forum. I find the LOP on the marauder folding stock a little short for me.

I'm looking for a cheap "tactical" scope for my Marauder as well. There is a NcStar Mark III Tactical 3-9x40 that looks good, but I am usure of the NcStar quality as I have read reviews that praise it, and reviews that condem it. Has anyone used that scope on a .22LR before? I'm mostly punching holes in targets and gophers.

and x2 on the g36-M4 stock adapter, it feels about 2-3" too short

I use a magpul ms2 on mine currently, can use as a 1 or 2 point. one end is wrapped around the hole in the stock and works well, the other end I got a metal ring attached to the front hand stop loop when I want to use 2 point

I had an AFG2 on mine and hated it, but I generally dont feel comfortable with the AFG grip on any firearm.

A stubby or longer grip attached to the bottom rail works well I find

ncstar scopes are hit and miss, general miss, BUT I have not owned one before so cant really comment

there are other low cost tasco, bushnell, etc scopes available
what ever scope you go with, it will need high rings to clear the sights, but then a cheek riser would be needed to get good cheek weld on the stock with a high scope

ya i think it was hical that had that spectre sling for the g36 but i dont know anyone that has it, its like 36 plus shipping then 20 bucks for a QD adapter, ####s getting like $80+ just to add a sling onto that thing

I just got this one on the other day. I bought it from an airsoft supplier on e-bay. The adapter itself was about $15. But, you cant just use a standard buffer tube. You need to use ones for an airsoft kit due to how they mount using the adapter. The place I bought mine from sold the adapter and a full stock/tube/mounting kit setup for about $60. The stock they sent was cheap and crap but the rest of the kit was decent so I ditched the stock and used an extra magpul I had laying around. The tube is solid, its aluminum and mounts nicely. Problem though, the adapter piece is cheap plastic crap. I have no faith that it will last long at all. I wish someone would make something exactly like it out of aluminum (or a good composite). The idea is that it no longer folds so where the folder latch goes into the Nomad chassis, it just has a solid block of plastic. You slide that in first, then attach the hinge on the other side. That little block broke off on mine as soon as I tried to attache the hinge. So I used some screws to fix it but I was not impressed.

Overall this is a WAY better setup than stock. I can actually get the LOP I want now and it makes the gun way more comfortable. Jury is still out on weather or not it will last.

Heres a link to the stock kit I bought with all the pieces you need:

Heres a few pics with it installed:

Forgive me for not quite understanding all this tactical stuff ( Kind of new to this ) but if I ordered the G&G Armament Stock for AEG and the ACM Airsoft Stock Conversion Adaptor For G36 would this be all I need to mount to the Marauder kit? I'm mechanically inclined so if some fittment is necessary that won't be a problem. Great pictures BTW. Also you said you ditched a stock so would the the G&G Armament stock be ok in your opinion.Again sorry if I seem to be asking a bunch of questions but this is my first attempt at the tactical side of things.I'm old school ( 52 yrs ) and used to nothing but hunting guns but decided after spending many hours on this forum brousing that I decided that I would take my Ruger 10/22 and try to turn it into a fun gun. My hunting buddies think I've lost a screw. LOL. Both my adult kids think it's cool though. But then again they think it's pretty cool that both Mum and Dad both ride Harleys. ha ha.Thanks for all your help.
