anyone try these. i had some years ago. bought them in the UK. they definitely hit hard on critters at short range.

i know some people have panned the accuracy of these as terrible, but the old daisy i had seemed to shoot just as straight with these as with conventional pellets.

wonder if anyone did real accuracy testing. i was just shooting a 4 or 5" metal target offhand at 20-30 yards. i never even adjusted the sights, i think the prometheus just shot a little high if i remember right.

Yes I tried these in 4 different rifles in an accuracy test and they were not good. And to make things really interesting they left 'shred' residue in the barrel. Not recommended for any use imaginable.

The only upside was that if you shot with your back to a setting sun you could see the pellet through the scope trying to hit the target, due to the polished steel insert.

Best avoided.

Candocad.

Out of my Diana 48 they will pierce a 45 gallon drum.I have dropped many skunk sized animals instantly with head shots useing the .177.

I was using those almost thirty years ago in England, still have a box LOL!!
Accuracy was not great I believe due to lack of bearing surface..
Later on best accuracy was with Crosman accupell as I remember.
