Pronlem with ammo

I have run accross a problem, about one in ten of the ammo, surplus 7.62x39, doses not go bang. Yet, if I reload said ammo, and shot it again bang, it goes.

This only started after I took the pin assembly apart to make sure it was clead!!

It is a norinco SKS that I have.

That's a ridiculously high FTF rate and is not typical for this ammo. I've shot cases dated back to 1959 and the majority haven't had even one dud per case.

Check your firing pin/bolt/trigger group over again.

Since the rounds are not duds, there's probably something not right with your rifle.
 
One thing that concerns me is that there is a definite impact mark in the primer. It is quite deep amd makes me think that it is the ammo, not the gun.
 
Right now there is a lot of surplus ammo that is sold that is not sealed in 1120 round lots. This is the ammo I am having problems with. The 90's dated stuff sold sealed 1200 rounds not a problem. The rounds that fail the primer is seated lower in the case.

I purchased the 1120 sealed in a case package.
 
I would say its a rifle issue.
Ive had this happen with one of my norinco sks. When the trigger is depressed, it clicks but doesnt seem like a full normal click. Anyways, point being if I recock and load same cartridge, it fires fine.
This carteidge is from sealed 70s vintage, and I doubt its the ammo.
 
Everybody seems to have their own theory, but for me I know it is the ammo.
Do you have any friends that go shooting with you with their SKS's. If so try trading some ammo to see if it makes a difference. Today for me I shot a 100 rounds of 90's vintage ammo without a hickup. Shot the rest of the 70's ammo that I had 60 rounds with 9 FTF the first time, they always fire the second time.
