Proof research barrels

Here's one in a 20" 223 in a mcmillan edge fill HTG stock. NF (G7) 5.5-20 x 50, talley lightweights, bottom metal. Shoots great, the only issue so far is that the sweet spot with 75 amax is at 2650, wish it would group that well closer to 3000....

The scope is a little overkill (~30 ounces), but the gun is so light it keeps the weight in the middle. Would love to try a March 2.5-25 at 10 ounces lighter and a little more compact but don't feel like dropping $2400

My "ultralight" build.
Titanium action, recoil lug, rail and rings. Aluminum/carbon fibre chassis and carbon fibre wrapped barrel.
It's at the smiths right now, should have it back in about a month, I'll post the final weight when I get it back.

Pretty awesome! What caliber/bbl length? In hindsight I should have went with a titanium action, my gun started out as an $800 VTR, $350 to true the action. I did recoup a little selling off the camo stock, factory trigger and bottom metal, but I would be 1lb lighter right now if had gone that route....
