With the large amount of hybrid Canadian /Turkish/Chinesium junk being peddled on the canadian market.
Is there a canadian company offering proof testing.
Are manufacturers proof testing in house?
I've asked a few manufacturers In canada, and no one othere than Cadex has answered.

Are they not proof testing??

The vast majority of NA Gun makers do not proof test. As theyre not required to do so.

Only the 16 CIP member states have mandatory proof testing to my knowledge

Not that I know of, tho I would think the manufacturers would be using either SAAMI or CIP specs.

Though perhaps we are once more in such a time, as BBB seems to suggest.

Still - the method itself I'd say is antiquated to the point of being ritualistic: Stuff gun with powder - If gun not blow up - sell gun.

You made some good points, but I think we are going backwards with some manufacturers,
I was jiat wondering if there was a proofing system in canada.
If not I guess all the liability is on the manufacturers
