Hello all,

I just purchased a Diemaco/ColtCanada SA20 upper.

I plan on hand loading for it with 69gr projectiles and Hodgdon BL-C(2) powder.

I have a Smith and Wesson lower. Not sure what buffer is in it now...

What is the appropriate buffer to use? BL-C(2) powder is a bit on the slower end of 5.56 powder burn rates. I know this will result in a slightly greater gas port pressure. Should I be running a heavier buffer to compensate for that? What buffer would you reccommend?

Thanks guys!

I think Matt miss read the post.
Both SA models come with Carbine stocks thus, Carbine receiver extensions and HH Carbine buffers.
If you play parts gun and try to run a carbine buffer in a rifle length receiver extension you will hammer your AR to pieces in pretty short order.
