Protection while camping

I should have written that I legally carry handguns in remote wilderness areas here in BC due to my job.

I have what is called an "Authorization to Carry Restricted or Prohibited Firearms" permit.

The last count I am aware of that was released by Stockwell Day was under 900 people in Canada have this permit.

as mentioned a billion times... practice is the key. Knowing the tool and rehearsing situations and live fire on fast moving objects will make the difference.

I live right in the heart of yogi country and practice weekly with the truck shotgun...

I am and have been a full time prospector for about 6 years now but unfortunately part time doesn't cut it...

You can always try though... :)

Thanks Boomer, I try to get to the range at least twice a month and sometimes weekly for handgun shooting practice and I am constantly doing draw and dry fire practice at home.

Used too drive my wife nuts with the constant clicking going on but she seems to have gotten used too it now, at least she doesn't complain as often as she used too.

Actually I am heading too the range right now... :D

I haven't been camping for a long, long time without a firearm handy. That said, I usually don't have one with me walking... but I'll always have a rifle of "significant caliber" in the trailer or camper.
