spent some time looking for affordable guns of different calibers to keep myself occupied at the range. since i got my licence at the beginning of last month i've aquired these. the only firearm that i spent over $300 was my beretta 92fs inox. got an excellent deal at prophet river firearms, online. check out their berettas (best prices).

beretta u22 neos - 22 caliber pistol
sks 7.62 - for a semi auto "with a bang"
ruger 10/22 compact - 22 caliber semi auto rifle
norinco 1911a1 - .45 pistol
beretta 92fs inox

and i have a badass weatherby pa-459 12 gauge pump shotgun on it's way. which i bought from a fellow nutter on the equipment exchange for a great deal.

yes i'm very happy with them. 22 calibers are fun to shoot and affordable. the norinco .45 and sks are both cheap and reliable centerfire guns. the 9mm is something i didn't mind spending more for, cause i know i'll be using it alot - a nice, comfortable in-between "oh yeah". for a higher caliber handgun i was also considering the ruger gp100 or charter arms 357 magnum (both about $500)

Man, you read my mind. My computer has all those in my prev. searches. I've acquired the Ruger 10/22 and SKS already. I was looking at that norinco last week as well....

A friend of mine says I should go with lesser, more expensive firearms.....I say the more the merrier.

Good choices for me

yeah i love shooting all the guns i've got so far! I enjoy firing my sks alot. it makes no difference to me that it was bought for really cheap - i just see it as a really good deal. shooting the caliber out of a gun that costs 10 times the price of it gives me just as much thrill.

In general with firearms and esp. scopes the commoners stuff you get what you pay for. Firearms are very competitive market, quality is not cheap, takes precise machining.
One must remember that firearms are machines, and the quality of their operation is more attributed to the design. Although, I feel it people offten falsely attributed quality to a price tag.

i guess i can say the addiction is kicking in......congrats, nice collection man and that beretta is ###ier than any pretty girl i can imagine, cheers

Congrat's on finding the sport and skill set we all love to practice. Now much as I love firearms I could never endorce any beretta as ###ier than a pretty girl. 9mm, 40, 357; nothing better than a set of 38's.;)
