Prowling at the range... Prowler III style!

Well take it back and get it fixed lol.. nice one

Yeah, pretty hard to get those automatics running perfectly... Seems like they always want to go at the jeweler for a quick tuning! It's how I like them thou, they have so much more character than quartz movement watches!

You keep it in a winder?

This one is my daily wear, it's not in a winder, unless I won't wear it for 48 hours or more (witch never happened). I have others in winders permanently so they won't "stick". All my automatics aren't very accurate compared to a quartz movement. I find the ETA 2892 worst than this one with the Valjoux 7750 and the 2892's are always in a winder.

Great review! My Nighthawk Custom Predator II is of a similar design with the heavy cone barrel and flange. More than a few people that have shot mine say it's the best 1911 they have shot. The NHC's are supposed to be good for 1 inch at 25 yards but who will ever know shooting even with a rest. With my old eyes, I'm happy with much less. The only gun I shoot better with is the SIG P-210.

Thanks Gord! Both my P210's legend target and super target are also very sweet shooters. When shooting & handling the P210's vs. the Prowler it's obvious that they are two very different animals.

In an automotive analogy, I would compare the Prowler to a mean dragster that runs the 1/4 mile in the high 7's-low 8's & the P210 to a more civilized, but still on top of its game, Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance (LM GTE) racer.

I hear you loud and clear Harry. There's something Zen like about the P-210. When I pick mine up, it purrs and tells me I'm a great shooter and good looking too. I've seen guys get glassy eyed just from taking a grip.

My NHC is a bit hairy chested too even in the colours I put on it. It also talks but uses cuss words as it slams 230 grains of lead into the object of my affections. It's a P-210 with attitude.

A Les Baer change your shooting life forever, my Premier ll is such on top of the game, in the weekend they had great sales on Sig 1911 at one dealer, i could not bring myself to order one, i will just wait a couple of weeks and order a LB Hemi 572... Like i said, for a novice handguns shooter like me the LB is a game changer, and i could not be satisfied with a lesser performance... JP.
