PRS chassis. What are my options

Saved cash and went for the oryx. Love it! Rock solid and she prints nicely with my rem 700 at 100.

I put my Defiance in a Cadex Chassis and I am pleased with it.
https://cadexdefence.com/store/chassis/lite-competition-short-action

If there is a downside to the Cadex, it's that the forend needs to be removed to remove the action.

If there is a specific positive to it, I do like how it sets up the center of the bore real low relative to the butt pad. All other set up the action high relative to the butt pad.

If you think about muzzle jump under recoil, the low axis on the Cadex reduces muzzle jump where the others actually promote it by contrast.

I do like how Cadex haw chassis that include the scope rail so the whole system locks together.

Manners got something for PRS too, if you prefer traditional looking chassis then Manners TCS would be ideal. it has mini chassis system for drop in and full length arca forend with tunable weight system for perfect balancing.

Cadex looks to have teased a bit of info on a new chassis design they have been working on. It's an open forend and looks to be coming out early 2022. I would stay tuned for that.

Stocks and chassis' are more of a user preference thing. My favorite is the JAE chassis, which at some point MDT is supposed to bring out again.
.

I had a J Allen stock on an M14 I put together some years ago. No doubt it was a nice stock. After seeing it, a buddy put one on his Defiance bolt gun in 308.

The aluminum skeleton over molded with plastic really cuts down on resonance, or vibration.

I've always felt its a bit heavy in the butt for PRS though, so it needs an extra long heavy barrel to get balance right.

The barrels that I have used in a JAE are a 28" Heavy Varmint and a 24" MTU. Both balance pretty okay in the JAE chassis.

I haven't tried shorter then a 24", and I haven't put a lighter profile barrel in my JAE, so perhaps it gets a butt heavy then. There are weight kits available for the JAE if that does become an issue with your specific barrel though.
