Okay,

I've been lurkin around the forum for quite awhile now. Time to ask a question.

I'm officially confused. I recently saw a thread about someone getting a 'non-restricted' ps90. Was that in Canada? I didn't know that was possible?

and non restricted as in he can take it into the bush? not just range + back?

I'm assuming it has to exceed a certain barrel length? What about say, the Beretta Storm and guns like that? Can you make them legal in Canada?

Thanks, Adubbz

Yes, there are non-restricted PS90's in Canada. I believe the barrel length has to be 18"+ to be non-restricted. I'm not positive though.

The Beretta Storm is legal in Canada. It is classified as a Restricted, and I'm guessing you could make it a non-restricted if you were to get the proper barrel for it.

I'm just getting into this hobby, so I may be off with my info ;)

Unrestricted rifles are allowed to be shot in the woods. If you take a PS90 and install a 18.6" barrel it is legal. The Tavor is a bullpup that is legal right from the factory with an 18.6" barrel as well.
