PSA: .22LR at le baron

hey guys,

i was just at my local Le Baron (markham) and they have some .22LR available. i picked up two bricks of wildcat.
winchester 222 for $12.54
winchester wildcat brick for $26.94

the pic is from the register in the middle. there is more stock at the other register.

How are the wildcats? I was hesitant to buy them.

The ladies in Markham are more helpful then the people I've dealt with at Bass Pro, and Cabelas.

Yep, the 525 packs cost me $23 this summer.

Still better that what most places are asking for .22, and in general ammo seems to be cheaper at Le Barons.

Damn, the Winchester 222s were $10.XX at Le Baron (Ottawa) only maybe two months ago. I should have bought more than the 4 boxes.

My 10/22 likes wildcats a lot. How do you guys find the Winchester 222s cycle in them?

Wildcats are better then 222/333/555 but still a bit underpower for autos.
Check Sports Action and Sail in Ottawa aa well

these are red price tag so you can't even use your LeBaron membership card to gat 10% discount because arguably they are already discounted (yeah, right). Funny how lebaron when they don't want to give you the 10% Lebaron member discount, reduce the price by wee tiny bit and apply the red price tag to exclude them from the member discount as it is already "special price". Half of their merchandise is like that. Either way, those Markham ladies are great and if they are out of some ammo, they put you name down and call you when stuff returns to stock.

I completely agree about the specials. The ammo in general seems to be better priced then most places.

I use both the 555 and the wildcats out of my Browning auto. They both cycle fine, but for whatever reason i dont get many cripples with the wildcats.
