Should get to measuring them in the Canadian manner - if Mikethebikes Noveske 18” barrel is long enough to be Canadian NR - what else is?
Don’t forget to use a bolt without the firing pin.
Lol if you're getting THAT anal about it, what method are you using to actually measure the depth? Tape measure and a stick ain't gonna cut it if you're worried about the firing pin.

AR's are restricted regardless of barrel length. What am I missing here?
I believe the RCMP approved method is to insert a dowel rod down the barrel to the bolt face. So yeah. Tape measure and a stick is the method. How do you want them to do it - laser range finder?
Given that a member on here just discovered that his barrel is entirely legal for a NR build, I’d say it’d be worth dealers checking.
The new macobe defense (or whatever its exactly called) who recently got an NR FRT for a new rifle that takes AR parts and barrels etc....they stated that they will be selling receiver sets for 1000 bones. So essentially build your own NR "AR15 STYLE" rifle
Lol there are many more accurate depth measurement devices than tape measures that don't involve lasers. I use them daily as a machinist.

Probably wouldn't be too expensive. It's the 18" test standard that is going to hurt. ha haI guess I now have an excuse to try to find an 18-19 rod for my depth mic lol
