Wow! $85 is something to be excited about?! Just last year I was buying powder weekly as it arrived at Cabelas and Canadian Tire for $50-$55 a pound. A good 60% jump in a single year!
Things were cheaper X months ago? CRAZY

The mom and pop gunshop I frequent had Varget in stock and the owner was apologizing for having to raise his prices due to his cost increases to $75 a pound for it.
I said I will take the 2 lbs ( his limit Varget per customer which is 1 now ) because you are holding it up showing it to me here and now.
I started reloading again back in the powder shortage days 2014 ish when f/a for powder @ $30 a lb was to be found except the odd bottle of Titegroup around here.
Primers out the hooper for $22.95 /1000 brass galore cheap bullets and dirt cheap dies, presses any anything else BUT no powder.
I swore then you see it you buy it but dont go full toilet tissue and hoard it, leave some for the next guy.
There were 3 old timers standing inline who spoke up and said if he doesn't want it we will take it. They knew the same thing.
I did do an online order for 2 lbs of IMR4198 because of this psa ( thanks sammer ) and cabelas free ship to store so powder is sufficient for my needs at present and future hopefully.
So $89.99 plus tax each lb, expensive sure complaining no. To me its like having an old car you really want to drive but there is no gas available. Not much point in having it.
LOL in what decade? It’s been a very long time since powder was $35/lb
FYI, I was just able to buy Varget, H4350, and H1000 in one order at Cabelas. They must have been recently restocked, I check the website every few days when I start getting low.
