Practical Shooters of Canada is pleased to announce a 3 day PRS training clinic in Meaford Ontario. Clinic dates will be April 28th, 29th, and 30th.

We will be covering a wide area of information, focusing on, but not limited to:
• Shooting position and recoil management: stability and recoil management techniques to stay on target and make hits.
• Data collection and correction: collecting the correct data and how to use it. In depth discussion and practical application of the extra 5% not covered by Applied Ballistics (what happens when your data refuses to line up)
• Equipment needs: we will have a large selection of equipment to try out. Different support bags, game changer bags, RRS tripod etc.
• Spotter shooter communication: creating and understanding a concise line of communication between shooter and Spotter.
• Spotting shoots and corrections: how to spot splash, mirage, impacts on steel, and estimating corrections.
• Stage prep: braking down a stage and creating a plan.
• Stage practice: putting your prep to work in a match setting.
• Mental prep: how to prepare for a match and recovery from excellent / poor performance
• Reading the wind and wind strategy (have a plan)
• Complex engagements multiple targets, positions and angles (i.e Static targets and mover) target 1) 350, mover, 500; Target 2) 435, mover; Target 3) 650, mover; Target 4) 735, mover.

We are hoping to have a mover system up and running for the clinic.

The lead instructor will be Scott Satterlee from Core Shooting Solutions. Scott is a 26 year Special Operations Veteran. He was the chief of Operations and head instructor for 1st Special Forces Group Advanced Urban Combat Course and co-owner of Precision Tactical Solutions. Scott has been one of the top Shooters and Match Directors in the PRS for the past several years.

The course will be limited to 20 shooters. The cost per shooter will be 675. We will open registration on February 18th at 10 am EST. Plan to bring a minimum of 300 round, this is a small class so there should be time for lots of shooting.

We will post the link for registration shortly on this forum and Facebook.

Below is a basic equipment list. A couple extra things to remember is it could still be chilly in Meaford in April so wear layers. I would also suggest gloves and winter wear.
• Rifle capable of 1MOA
• Scope with target turrets
• 300 rounds of ammunition
• Ballistic application on smart phone or Kestrel, I recommend shooter ballistics or Applied Ballistics
• Ear Protection and Eye Protection
• Bipod
• Rear Bag
• Sling
• Optional Stuff: Tactical Pillows, Hat, Shooting mat
• Life support stuff: Rain Gear, Bug repellant, sun screen
• Food to snack on, and lunch
• We will supply water

Great and thanks for attempting to have a course.

Many new/beginners to the sport will need dope time allocated as most of the interested I speak with are limited to home ranges/dope of 100-200 yards.

I myself am interested in a spring clinic and I am also limited to 500m most days around home.

Are accommodations even avaiable in the area during spring for us that will travel?
