PSOC PRS Spring Clinic

Very interested in 3 day course BUT I am complete (i mean COMPLETE) newbie. Just bought used 10TR and managed to land a few rounds on paper at 100 yards. Is this 2 advanced for someone like myself?

The Precision Shooters of Canada is planning a 2 or 3 day training course in Meaford Ontario. I want to see what shooters will be more interested in.#

If we do a 3 day course it would be up to 20 shooters. we would cover a wide area of information, focusing on but not limited to.

Shooting position and recoil management
Equipment needs
Wind calling
Understanding ballistics#
Spotter shooter communication
Spotting shoots and corrections#
PRS style shooting
Stage prep
Mental prep.
Shooting a loop hole#

If you have any other topics you would like covered let us know.

#As for a 2 day course it would cover simular information just not as in depth, and would only be 10 people.

The course would be almost all shooting time. #steel would be shot from 300-800yds.

The main instructor will be Scott Satterlee from Core shooting solutions. Scott is a 26 year Special Operations Veteran. He was the chief of Operations and head instructor for 1st Special Forces Group Advanced Urban Combat Course and co-owner of Precision Tactical Solutions.

Scott has been one of the top Shooters and Match Directors in the PRS for the past several years. He is currently ranked 13th only 5 points behind first.

A 3 day course at Core shooting solutions runs 750 US or around 950 Canadian. the 2 day is 550 US or #700 canadian. We realize we do not have the access to the same facility but we will have one of there top instructors leading the course. We anticipate cost to be #450 for 2 Days or 625 for 3 days.# These are#are pliminary number and could go up or down depending on travel and accommodation.#

Let me know your thoughts. We will try to keep cost as low as possible.

Shooters,
The clinic will be new shooter friendly.
LR is Data drive so we will spend the required time to ensure we are lined up.
You do not need to go out and buy a ton of bags, slings, RRS tripod etc I will be bringing a bunch of stuff for you guys to use, try and decide if it is for you.
In addition to the topics already highlighted. I will be bringing my moving target system out so we will be able to cover movers. How to figure out the speed the long way and the easy way.
In depth discussion and practical application of the extra 5% not covered by Applied Ballistics (what happens when your data refuses to line up)
Reading the wind and wind strategy (have a plan)
Complex engagements multiple targets, positions and angles (i.e Static targets and mover) target 1 350, mover 500 target 2 435 mover, target 3 650 mover, target 4 735 mover.
The loop hole will be more of a class on ballistic clearance. The real world application window for a true loop hole shot is so small it is irrelevant. Figuring out your clearance for shot in the brush, or over, cars, concrete or any other hard media that will send the bullet back at you or impede its progress to the target is very valuable.
I'm really looking forward to shooting with you guys. If you have any questions please feel free to hit me up here on FB or contact the Ryan

You may find it helpful to get in an ORA PR match or clinic before the course if time permits. This will give you some experience past 100 yards, albeit from prone.

We have the letter in requesting for the dates of April 28,29,30. Hope to hear back soon. As soon as we have it set in stone we will open registration. We are only able to take 20 shooters so the spots will go fast.

Hopefully we can get the date soon, I don't want to miss this one. It's quite a long drive from Quebec and need at least 4 days off from work. Thanks.

Just a quick update. We have approval from the base for the clinic dates of April 28, 29, and 30th. We are just working out final cost and will announce a registration date and time very soon. We are planning for 15-20 shooters. Expect to bring 300 rounds.
If you have any other questions let me know.

Ryan
