Southpaw in NL
New member
Hey,
Just joined today.
While I am originally from what I now refer to as the "lonesome, crowded, southern part" of Ontario and grew up hunting grouse, woodcock, & wild turkey, for the past 11+ years I have been living and working near St. John's, where each Fall, I take my dog down to 'the barrens' to hunt ptarmigan at least twice a week during the season.
Growing up I never dreamed that I'd have an opportunity like this, but I must admit that I often make the trip back to ON in the Spring to see if I can whack a gobbler – the cost of a non-resident license nowadays, however, is ABSURDLY expensive, so I'm resolved to stick with ptarmigan (which Newfoundlanders – after the original British colonists here – refer to as 'Partridge'.
I joined CGN to see if any other members can help me find a true left-handed hunting/field over & under (o/u) – ideally with 26 or 28' barrels.... Something like a Browning Citori (LH), Beretta Silver Pidgeon, or Benelli 828U... The gun MUST be able to chamber a 3" shell, and as I have (and continue to)( shoot right handed shotguns my entire life, it also HAS to be designed for a true southpaw.
From what I understand, however, I need to post three times over the course of three days before I can write a "WANTED: Left-Handed O/U" ad, correct?
If anyone reading this has any leads, by all means get in touch, but otherwise I'll post an add in a few days time...
Best,
Christopher.
