Ptg dbm

I want to order a PTG DBM kit for one of my Rem M 7's - They offer 2 choices - one which use's ACIS mags and one which uses AR-15 Mags - I am NOT familiar with either ! Which are the better mags to go with ? and WHY Please ? Thanks

If I remember right, the ar version requires the removal of the actions feed lips. I would go aics 100% - but that’s me

How about a magpul set up? Very inexpensive and comes with a 5rd AICS mag. Pretty straightforward inlett into a BDL stock.

For a model 7 you are stuck with ptg

I’ve done the AR style on two 700’s and don’t recommend it. There is not enough bolt face to cartridge base contact to reliably feed with all bullet shapes and oal. On top of this, you are restricted to 2.250” oal and you need to mill the receiver.

The AICS works much better and the mdt magazines are only $40 or so and allow 2.550” oal.

I assumed 223 because you mentioned the AR magazine version.

If you notch your feed ramp an aICS mag with no binder plate will allow 2.980”
