HK 91 variant. Prohibited.

If this is a real post then I suggest you read the FAQs and look around before you make any more posts like this one.

Next, it is either an HK 91 OR a PTR 91. Regardless, both are prohibited.

Finally, when you post please check your spelling and grammar. It is incredibly tedious to read posts that have poor spelling and sentence structure. The last thing we need is to have anti-firearms people think we are all a bunch of backwards, illiterate hillbillies.

Your post should read " Now I am new to this site and some may think I am in fantasy land but I have not been able to find much information on this rifle; either online or on these forums . If this is a baiting post then you know where we all think you can go!

Know Im new and some are gonna think im in fantasy land but i havnt been able to much information on this rifle either online or on these forums . ive been searching for about 2 hours now .

Is the HK ptr 91 available to civilains , does anyone have any information on these rifles , what are you opinions on them .

Your question is not out of line and the language skills of Board members varies. Don't be blown away by some grumpy old fart. Welcome to the Forum.

I once owned a HK 91 and sold it (fortunately) shortly before it was prohibited. It was OK, I guess. Heavy, and not as accurate as I would have liked, but I didn't try a whole lot of different ammo, so it may have been capable of better performance. I still have the detachable scope mount for the darned thing, which is quite an expensive item. Too bad, because I'll never sell it on this side of the border, I expect.

Kc.338Lp welcome to CGN. Please forgive the rough tone initially but there are a lot of "baiting" posts that look just like yours. I too had a rough first post having to do with a P90 vs a PS90.

Hi5 thanks for reminding me of my manners. I'm not too proud to be corrected.

No worries , I'm actually very articulate , just sometimes when I'm up late I forget to check my grammar .

The other reason I asked is because i see a lot of other posts that appear to contain legally owned firearms that appear identical to their prohibited counterparts yet are made by a different manufacturer , example is the Sig 550 series made by a company called Swiss arms ?

The Sig 550 series are prohib's yet I see identical legal forms of them . So that's why I had to ask .

the search feature has horrible default settings that wont or cant be changed by the mods (i dont know).

there are a number of firearms that are used by various militaries that are available in civilian versions also. Basically the versions you see available as non-restricted or restricted in Canada are the semi auto only versions of these (and/or otherwise modded to prevent full auto compatibility)

Some are put in the prohib or restricted category often because the wind was blowing a certain way that day it seems.

ignore the spelling nazis, when everyone is perfect, then they may complain

Believe me, it is confusing sometimes. And it is even better when you see what we can own versus what is prohibited and it just does not make sense. But that is the state of Canadian Gun Law. Welcome to the tar pits.
