Yes I know, another tiresome "What is it worth" thread....

I have recently been selling off a lot of pieces that just do not get out of the vault at all anymore, and deserve a good home.

PTRS 41, it is a monster, essentially unissued/excellent condition, just storage and handling etc.

Comes with the original cleaning rod and ammo haversack/pouch with clips (If my memory serves me, 6 clips, for those who don't know it uses an enbloc 5 round clip, like the Garand, but loaded from the bottom, necessary for semi-auto operation)

I can find NOTHING comparable for sale in recent years. There is a PTRD single shot at Collectors Source for $ 2,995.00, but that's it.

So....fair market value ?

I will post pics soon.

Yes, I saw one in the 5k range as well!!! Good luck, my friend! It's a beauty I am sure!

Is thing could slay monsters and tanks... can it hold five and one? times it by the max capacity and don't charge shipping and insurance and throw in your brass. $ 2,995.00 x 5 = a fair return on your investment I should hope. Start high and see what people think.
how many years has it been out of production? look at the cost of a Beretta .50 cal sytem
http://www.barrett.net/pdfs/Price-List.pdf they're talking in US dollars too. Is the thing mint?

Its not worth $15k, lol, not in Canada anyways.

I would like to bring a PTRS or PTRD home on top of a Smart car. It would look like a King Tiger Tank with that barrel length!

I think Collectors Source sold one for about 3K -
$3500 a few months back. I tried to scrape together the cash but it didn't last long.

there was a place in the US that had 14.5114 "dummy" rounds they had the primer pocket drilled out witch is one step to converting them to be useable anyway

ive been looking for a ATR my self a boys would have been my first choice since it was issued here but anything that would have killed a import car on occasion empty pockets are now my downfall

aim for the sky and fall onto the trees. If you want the meanest looking gun at the range here's something from Beretta's pricing guide "50 BMG Rifle Systems M107A1 rifle systems comes with 10 round magazine, bipod, monopod & hard carrying case. All barrels are black unless otherwise noted. 14085 29" Fluted Barrel 816715012432 $12,000"
You'd have a pinned mag on a rich boy's rifle that has No history compared to something made in the time of great crisis to fend a homeland from a Nazi invasion! It killed tanks and looks like it could plow a field! I'd use that argument to fortify the price.
At last I must confess, you sir are correct. I have no idea what the pricing point should be... and my fifteen minutes are over.

The M107A1 is a Barrett. Not beretta.

I also love the history, but let's face facts, you can't get ammo, and russian stuff just doesn't bring the high dollars.

I remember when Marstar was selling the PTRD's years ago. I wanted one but couldn't afford it.

The PTRS is just so cool!

Either one would be fun to own even if ammo is hard to come by. I don't shoot a lot of my milsurps any way.

FWIW, when I had my PTRD a few years ago, I was getting ammo from a CGN'er who was reloading it for anyone who had viable brass casings. I scooped a couple dozen spent WW2 brass casings (I suspect ground dug!) from e-gun in Germany and had them reloaded - they worked just fine.

Sadly, I can; recall who the individual was anymore - it was fairly long ago!
