CANAM I've been told a few years ago by a romanian manufacturer (now Romarm) that ball 14.5mm ammo could be produced if ordered in quantity.

I guess they had so many inquiries from Canada that they eventually began ignoring us unless we arrive at their doors with bags of cash.

CanAm: I jest you not that I would buy a AT LEAST a few hundred rounds if you could get them into Canada at the $10 or $15 per round price point. the cheaper you can provide it, the more I will buy - but I definitely hope for/want to get a stockpile of a few hundred rounds.

As for components, I would buy both cases and ball or AP projectiles if available. If just cases, that's fine too - I'm willing to turn solid brass bullets on my lathe.

Is there any update on availability? I just got a PTRD that I am determined to shoot - preferably A LOT.

Cases we could have made with BMG primers. No AP bullets, but ball is OK.

Issue is quantity. We get a great price, but few customer for a container load.

I can understand the container-load problem, but do you need to buy a whole container of just this ammo? Can your maker not also partially load the container with another caliber?

Laying it all out: Are you going to bring any in anymore, or not? I suspect you could charge a pretty penny PER ROUND. I'm in for a very good many and I suspect a few other guys are too ;)

Ok... but if that is the holdup, why not get them in original primer then? If you can get ammo in quantity for a fair price, reloading can be sorted out later. People WILL pay. Collector's Source sold many hundreds of 20mm Lahti ammo at $50 EACH, for example.

So are you going to admit to working on an import, or is it a pipe dream for us?

This is getting interesting.
As Claven2 suggests, at a low cost per round just leave it with original Berdan priming.
No need to reload if the loaded stuff is moderate price.

What about importation? Is the large calibre an issue now?
