I think the difference is this is intentionally ochestrated to make this guy like some big Hiawatha. It makes as much sense as making a video of bears which have been enticed to charge and shooting them at close range.

I've seen unorchestrated videos. They fall below amateur.
Never got a clue why that person even bothered.

Don't mistake my comments with "I'd do it' statement.
Nascar is more boring than daily driving to work , but some people like it, and we respect that.
One thing is sure with that guy.... double takes are a PITA.
would you dare to be his camera-guy?

I sure hope he is going to eat each and every one of those kills.. it hurts me to see elephants getting shot though. Something tells me he just shoots for the kill. Then again I dont know much about this guy nore have I ever eaten any of those animals before.

No I wouldn't dare to be his camera guy because I try my best to avoid taking unnecessary risks. Life is full of enough of unexpected high anxiety situations and I sure don't need to go looking for more.
Also, it would pain me to be in the same room with this guy.

Meat never goes to waste in Africa. Probbay more meat wasted in North America, actually.

It seems a shame to me to shoot some of those animals. However, if it's his bag and it's legal, then go for it.

So shooting a charging hippo on dry land at 10 feet is slaughter?

If that is slaughter then what about the normal way of hunting them... you know... poping one laying in the water at 40 yards from the safety of the bush?

As far as I know MS WILL NOT shoot a hippo in the water as he believes it to be slaughter....he states this in his movies and he is correct

Its a bit different then what you describe...

Infact, you are just plainly wrong.

Yup.

Wrong.

I surely hope you stand correct there. I guess there are alot of starving people in Africa. I would at least hope he would have given it to them.

I dunno.. shooting elephants is just a no no in my book. And I couldn't amagine how aweful the meat would taste from one

Anyone else notice the only time he hit anything was when it was ten feet in front of him, maybe its the only way he can actually hit the animal.

Dangerous big game.......double rifle involved.

If you've ever read any of Capstick's work, you would find ALL the meat goes to the local village that the hunting camp cannot use, not matter what animal.
The hides are processed to use the leather and even the bones were used, that one eludes me.....

I sure don't approve of the way he airated that poor lion, boy they pumped it full of lead. I used to think his stuff was cool, some of it is amazing and nervewracking but I think he can keep it. I wish I could have gone out with Finn Agaard, now there was a classy hunter!;)

I would like to try Mark's 700 Nitro, even the 600 at least twice!

I don't know I've seen worse video's in the past.... however it ain't any worse than that moron Australian dude, whatever the frig his name is. He's on syndicate TV and all the d1ck-head does is harass anything that walks, crawls, swims or slithers in the outback for the purpose of film..
I can't wait to read that clowns obituary, hopefully a croc bites off his jewels and he bleeds to death...
.........just my thoughts:)

The bones are used for carving. After the ban on ivory by many countries, bones were used to make carved goods and sometimes sold as "imitation" or fake ivory. I have included a pic of a necklace I bought in Cameroun. Camel bones were used to make this particular item.

Thank you Dorm! And a beautiful piece too! Nothing goes to waste there, even the PH's that don't get that follow up shot are thoroughly enjoyed by pakyderms, lions, leopards and just about anything else there except for maybe the grass and trees.
Makes me wonder how long Sullivan can pull this stuff off for before being comsumed by the dark continent.

For me it's not really what he's killing...it's how many of them he's killing.

That whole "Kill or be killed" thing also looks like a setup, you know damn well he's sitting there shooting the hippo with a pellet gun just long enough to piss it off so it will charge.

Unless the guy is really jinxed he would not have that many animals going at him.

True that, they even use the @$$hole of the animals. They sent them to Nirobi where they are made into PHs who made videos of animals which have been enticed into charging and the Hiawatha shooting them at close range.

Sensationalism pure and simple. This is the stuff the antis can use against us in the quest to get hunting to be a thing of the past. We try and be roll models for our children and bring them up to respect wildlife. This isn't respect this is a slaughter.

I agree, there is no point to this, I am sure he does not harvest the meat.

real tough guy

So you know him then?

No?

Then you must have watched all his vidio's?

No?

Oh I see you are talking out your arse:rolleyes:

In his vido's he states that all the meat (exept the stuff used for bait) goes to the local vilages
