Pulled Bullets Accuracy

I have to pull some bullets and re-seat them. Whenever I pull a bullet, no mater how gentle I go, the collet always leaves a mark. Is that mark going to affect my accuracy?

It could potentially.

Just make some test loads with non-pulled bullets and some pulled bullets. Test them at 200-300 yards. That should give you an idea if the bullets are significantly affected. Let us know how you make out.

heh, i'm doing a load development and decided to seat closer to the lands. I was hoping somebody would have a more definite answer. LOL

use a kinetic puller and only tap it enough to get the oal longer then you want, then reseat the bullet in your press to your new oal.

As for the accuracy of the bullets using your meathod, I can't help you regarding the pull marks.
