Puma 92 front sight?

I just came back from camping up north and I took my little puma 92 with me and when I got home I noticed that the front sight was very loose. I played with it just a bit and it just slid right out of the groves?? How do I get it back in and stay?? Would shims work?

drill and tap a small hole in the sight. Then screw a small screw down. This should lift the sight enough to wedge it in place. I encountered this little trick on a Winchester 92 that someone cut a bad dovetail in.

Soooooo, gunsmith it is. I do not have the required tools for tapping a hole for a screw

Or you could just stake it with a punch, or stipple the dovetail with same punch.

Referred to as staking, you position the sight, and strike the edge of the dovetail slot with a hammer and punch on each side of the sight. It should not take much force to do it.
