Puma or Marlin 357?

As far as safety and sigths are concerned on the 92, there will be a sight that replaces the safety soon. It fits in place of the safety, and if you have the safety engaged you can't see through the ghost ring. Or if you elect not ot use the safety your sight will always be aligned.

I have both the .357 and .44 mag Marlins and I can't say enough good about them. The .357 cycles .38's as smooth as anything.Never had a Puma but.....Marlin is a safe and solid purchase.Good luck.

I had a Marlin .357 and it was very slick, you could run a tube of 38 spls through it almost as fast as a semi-auto and I never had any feed problems with it.

I own both and I wouldn't part with either :) I would give the Marlin a slight edge only because I love Marlins and like to clean my guns from the chamber. As for the people who believe the 357 is a useless chambering for a rifle have never fully used/played with it. I carry one loaded with 38's for gophers marmots and crows, and load it with 357's for coyotes, deer, bear, hell i'd probably even shoot a moose if the situation was right.

Marlin

I say go with the Marlin. You can pick one up from SIR mail order for $520. I have a Marlin 39a 22lr, Marlin 336C 30-30, and a Marlin 1895 in 45-70. I love all of them so much that I am going to pick up the 1894 just to add to my collection.
Cheers
