Pump action .22

I have a nice little Rossi take down pump that's one of my favorites. Super fun to shoot and very accurate. It seems to come out whenever any kids are around to introduce to shooting and they all leave with a smile. It eats any ammo and it always works.

1906 savage....pump action with a box magazine...only one out there that I know of..cool as ####! don't know how to post pics...do a google!!

I have one almost as you describe. The rifle is a Savage 1903, but it's stamped as Stevens 1906. My magaize is not original, but some other rimfire magazine fitted. It's 10rd. as opposed to the original 5rd., and looks clunky as a result. Fun little pump for sure.

Whats everyone paying for a 572 lately? I have one I was thinking of getting rid of one, just dont use it.

I have a 572 Fieldmaster from the early 80s (?), was a gift from my grandfather. Really is a wonderful rimfire, feels good and is accurate.

I would not sell mine, and I have a host of other rimfires available to me.

didn't know cooey made a .22 pump...

Yes, in about 1935. In fact it was called the model 35 and was only made for a short time. It had a major flaw. The pump handle would smack the forend when it was pumped back causing the forearm to crack, hence its short time span They are fairly rare today and most you encounter will have a repaired forearm.

Cool, I had to google it, looks alright though. I got a 1908 winchester pump takedown, I think I checked the serial number and it was made in around 1914, was my grandpa's and who knows maybe a relative's before that, I'm very fortunate to own the thing it is a beauty in my eyes and fun to shoot, although a bit worn, I haven't shot any other brands of pump .22's but if I would highly recommend buying them if your lucky enough to come across one.

You can cycle the action really quick with them, put lots of .22 short ammo in the tube, and the single thumb screw to split them in two seems pretty unique to me.

As for the cooey, I'll have to keep my eyes open at the upcoming calgary show.
