Im into modifying sks too and when i heard people's asking why ? Because i can and it's so damn fun,you have to be into modding to understand,not just buying a tapco stock and swamp it,i mean real modification's.

I get modifying ones toys. I'm into bikes and cars. I get it. I'm just unsure on why you'd take a very reliable semi and neuter it like that. His work is impressive to me, I'm just unsure on why.

I just worked out why. Short barrels! Like a paratrooper sks.

Or maybe even design a pump action specific magazine. Imagine.

I love it! The answer and the work too. It's because of one of your videos that I now have two detachable, factory mags. I tack welded them instead of riveting, but the effect is the same. I finally picked out a mount for optics, but I am still deciding on what

A semi-auto is a lot of fun no doubt (that's why I have two SKS's ) but I personally don't like them for the kind of hunting that I do. I also want to develope some reloads for hunting. I enjoy hunting for wild game but not my brass at the range,,,LOL. I could have just removed the gas piston at the range and used it as a straight pull bolt action but once I get an idea in my head I can't rest until I've tried it. Yes, I am a sick puppy.

I'm one of those guys that doesn't throw anything useful out. Experiments like this one all come from my "stock" of bits and pieces. As a result, often times these experiments are not things of beauty,,, LOL.

He'd probably ask the same of your hobby, he sure has a practical side to it and personal achievement.

That's pretty cool. Definitely a lot faster reload than removing the gas piston and using the rifle like a bolt action but a hell of a lot more work Either way well done.
