Pump for trap/skeet?

Agreed, once in a while a guy slide-action will short shuck it and cost himself a target. Everyone of us does it, but running a clean with a slide-action almost always turns a head or 2. The look on that persons face is one thing I take personal pride in. At a recent tournament, one shooter, not realizing it was my father he was talking to, made the mistake of calling my a dumbass for shooting a slide-action at a local sporting clays shoot, I patted him on the shoulder after I beat him by 5 targets. His Kreighoff must have been defective.

Now be honest! His Krieghoff was a single shot and he had to reload FAST for doubles!! Right?!? ;)

He is a subscriber to the more spent on gun equals instant admittance to AA status. The long road to that goal has never been short. We all have off days, Saturday's tournament at my club was a fine example, my trap scores in the morning were off about 4 targets from where they should have been, shot back where I normally do in the afternoon, by then the damage was done. Is what it is, get up, dust off, move on, get back into the groove for this Saturday's trap shoot.

I have learned one thing over the years, when someone shows up with a well worn slide-action at a tournament, watch them, they usually know how to use it.
