You can't do that, you just ordered a new trap gun.
That he can sell to me at a deeply discounted price !!!!
Is there a deal on trap guns in here ???.?.?.
Hi all,
I'm new to shooting. My interests lie mostly in hunting, but to improve myself for waterfowl season I'd like to put some time in shooting trap and skeet.
I have a 12 Ga Remington 870 which I'll be shooting with, but wanted to hear some opinions regarding its usefulness at the range vs an o/u or side-by-side.
Thanks in advance.
honestly you can use a 870 and be very successful for a long time. but your want for an o/u will grow the longer you shoot.
Can you explain why you need an O/U to shoot skeet/trap or sporting clays?

He didn't say "need" he said "want."Can you explain why you need an O/U to shoot skeet/trap or sporting clays?
All I shoot for trap is my Remington 870 classic trap. Fits me perfect & use an extended extra full choke & crush targets from 16 & 27. Pumping the gun doesn't bother me, Pound for pound I could pump faster than some of the shooters at our club using semi autos.
Good luck.
Some will never believe it till they see it with their own eyes.
A guy at VGC in Richmond shoots his 870 CT on the Sporting Clay Field for schitz&giggles and does very well too.
