I was at the 2012 Africa Hunting Show in Toronto and examined the Semprio rifle. This rifle is made in Germany by Kreighoff (sp?) and was extremely well finished (as it should be for 5K). It took a while to get used to action but any Remington pump rifle admirer can easily adapt. The Semprio action moves the barrel assembly forward, rather than forearm back (760/7600). The barrel assemblys interchange VERY easily (pricey at 1.4K each) and with the use of interchangeable bolt faces, switch between regular (30/06 family) and magnum (300 Win) families. The maker claims excellent accuracy with this design, same as bolt action but ?? All in all, it looked pretty sweet, maybe the next generation of pump rifles but ??? The one thing that I did not like was that the Semprio uses a decocking device instead of a safety. Probably a better design but the force to push the coking lever forward was much greater than to release a safety. I know that 760/7600 barrels will interchange but the bolt face interchange seems new, at least to me. Has anyone here have real experience? Thanks for any advice.
