Seems like in Ontario the law says 3 rounds, period.
In BC it's only limited if using shot. Slugs you can fill er up.
And 3 means only two in the tube. 3rd goes in the chamber. 3 in the tube is not legal.

Sadly, not in Ontario.
I tried to make the case to a CO years ago that I'm shooting and carrying ONLY SLUGS and it's a RIFLED BARREL and I ONLY HAVE A DEER TAG... Why can't I pull the plug on what is now really just a .730 caliber rifle?
His response was: "Wanna try me?"
The plug stayed.

I'm not a hunter but I'd say any limit to how much game you can take has nothing to do with how many rounds are in your gun. Stupid. We need anmendment in the constitution that makes unreasonable or illogical laws unpassable.
Maybe their theory is: "If you're quickly pumping out 5(or more) slugs at a deer, how many are well aimed shots?"
Yet I can quickly pump out 5 (or more) shots of 30-06 from a Remington 760 and that's ok?
Not that I've ever needed so many shots of either, put its just dumb that you have two pump action firearms that throw a 2800 ft/lb projectile, and one's limited to 2 in the mag while the other has no limit at all.
